Create Course Feature Almost Complete

with 2 comments

I broke down the create course feature into many building blocks because I find it easier to manage (think: Divide and Conquer algorithm). Yesterday after grappling with SVN problems and the GData + OAuth, I am proud to announce the latest building blocks that I have just finished:

Get learning object from Google Docs.

When a user clicks on the add document button the spring controller shows a list of documents from the user’s google docs, assuming the user has some documents in there and that he authorized Hard-Wire to access his google docs account, else the spring controller simply returns an input field where the user can enter a link to a document (pdf/doc).

For now everything is done server side. But that’s because we have to present this by Monday. In the future adding a google docs will be an ajax call or I could pass the documents and their links to a javscript so things are done client side.
