This time, we’ll be implementing Common Tags. Yes, C and T are capitalized. It’s old school days where capitalized letters actually mean they are a proper noun. All this time I thought we were just going to implement common tags (i.e. tags which are very common). *facepalm*

So, Common Tags are actually implemented by adding rel, property, and (optionally) content, and specifying an xmlns:ctag scoping a body of Common Tags to put to.

Here’s a sample code.

<div xmlns:ctag="" rel="ctag:tagged">
   NASA's <a typeof="ctag:Tag" rel="ctag:means"
               property="ctag:label">Phoenix Mars Lander</a> has deployed its robotic arm.

Besides that our course will be having learning activities, it will be marked with tags (Common Tags) as well. We’re planning on a Javascript-enabled (autocomplete) tagging using a text box where the course creator can specify what tags to put with that specific course. We’re going to be implementing it server-side first. Will AJAX, hopefully, it in the near future.

At last we have decided on what technologies we will be using! Aside from common tags, oAuth and Google Spreadsheets, we will be using Symfony, PHP and Ajax. Coding will start really soon. Stay tuned! =)

2.) Rubrics
3.) Common Tags
4.) OAuth
5.) Google Spreadsheets

It’s RRL Time!
