On Alternative Assessments and Portfolios

In one sentence: ePasa X (working title) will basically be an online portfolio where one can have his/her work reviewed by other people by using the rubrics, or guidelines that he/she has defined, as well as that of the evaluators’.

Dan has posted excerpts from our Statement of the Problem, which basically describes the project in a more formal way in her post. I’m saving the technical terms for our paper.

WSG Project Assignment

It’s final–I (we) will be joining the Web Science Group.

We’ve applied in several research laboratories and the common denominator of the projects I’ve suggested is semantics. (You can read more on semantic web for further information.) I’ve always been interested in context mapping, data mining, and HCI (human-computer interaction) so I hope I’ll get to apply a little of these three in our project.
