Fourth Game Prototype

leave a comment »

We chose classifying real numbers as the lesson for our fourth game. The character is now inside the court of the castle and is fighting against the four frog guards. These frog guards hold the answers. The player has to swing up, down, left, or right to hit the frog guard with the corresponding correct answer to the given question.  The game runs for 2 minutes, and the player is assessed with the number of correct items he or she gets.

The screen shot here is the prototype.

The red labels correspond to the frog guards.

It’s Working!

Yay! After hours of coding I’ve finally finished the prototype for the XLS Parser. It only supports Excel ’97 – ’03 but at least I’m going somewhere.

The program can read an Excel file, parse it, then convert it into XML already! As of now, the subjects I included in the template are Math, Science, and English. Until we finalize the grades required in entering UP, we’d be doing our prototypes with those three subjects.
